Overview
Experience the magic of the Thar Desert on a traditional camel safari in Jaisalmer. Ride through the golden sand dunes, enjoy the peaceful desert landscape, and watch the sunset from the dunes.
You leave Jaisalmer in the afternoon, ride out across the sand with your camel handler, stop among the dunes for photographs as the colours change, and stay out for the sunset before heading back to your hotel. Private and group safaris are both available.

Timings
Day 1: Afternoon into sunset
About four to five hours, from an afternoon pickup in Jaisalmer to an evening drop back at your hotel.
- 15:00 · Pickup from Jaisalmer. Leave your hotel in Jaisalmer and travel out to the desert safari area.
- 16:00 · The camel safari begins. Meet your camel and set off through the desert, taking in the peaceful surroundings and the traditional Thar Desert scenery.
- 17:00 · Dunes & photographs. Spend time among the dunes, take photographs and watch the colours of the desert change.
- 17:30–18:30 · Sunset. Watch the sun go down over the golden dunes while you relax in the desert.
- 19:00–20:00 · Back to Jaisalmer. After the safari, return comfortably to your hotel in Jaisalmer.
