Overview

Three days and two nights, priced for 2 persons. Day one is a gentle afternoon after a midday arrival: Gadisar Lake, a puppet show and Mandir Palace. Day two takes you out to Tanot Mata temple and the Indo-Pak border, then on to a desert camp for the evening. On day three you see the fort and the havelis before your drop at the station.

Tanot and Longewala are close to the border: carry a valid photo ID, which is checked more than once, and tell us in advance if anyone travelling is a foreign national, so the paperwork can be arranged where it applies.

Every package can be customised, so if you would like more time in the desert, a particular hotel or camp, or a different pace, tell us when you request a quote.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1: Arrival and a gentle afternoon

    Planned around a noon arrival: pickup at 1 pm and drop at your hotel, then Gadisar Lake, a puppet show and Mandir Palace.

  2. Day 2: The border, then the camp

    From the city to Tanot Mata temple and the Indo-Pak border, reaching the desert camp by 4 pm. A Rajasthani welcome with evening tea and snacks, a camel safari and an adventure jeep safari, then a bonfire, folk dance and dinner, and a night in a tent.

  3. Day 3: The city, then your train

    Breakfast at the camp, then Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli, and a drop at the station.
