Step out of the city hustle and straight into the silent, unbroken horizon of the Thar Desert. Designed around privacy, rustic charm and authentic Rajasthani hospitality, this overnight retreat takes you deep into secluded, wind-swept dunes, away from the crowded tourist camps.

You leave Jaisalmer by private jeep, ride a camel across quiet dunes as the sun goes down, eat a Rajasthani dinner cooked over a woodfire and sleep in the open on mattresses laid out on the sand. Sunrise, breakfast and a short morning camel ride follow before the drive back to town.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1: Into the sands & a night beneath the stars

    A private jeep out of Jaisalmer, a camel trek at golden hour, chai on the dunes, a woodfire dinner and a night under the open sky.

    • Jeep transfer into the wild. Depart Jaisalmer in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. As the paved roads give way to sandy tracks, leave the noise of civilisation behind.
    • Golden-hour camel trek. Meet your local desert host and mount your camel for a slow-paced trek across rolling, non-touristic sand dunes. Watch the setting sun turn the horizon crimson, pink and amber.
    • Sunset chai & refreshments. Settle on the cool crest of a quiet dune with freshly brewed local chai or hot coffee and traditional desert savouries as the evening breeze picks up.
    • Woodfire culinary evening. Gather around a crackling woodfire and watch your local camp crew cook a traditional, freshly prepared Rajasthani dinner over open flames, with simple, authentic ingredients.
    • Stargazing open-air bivouac. Sink into clean, comfortable mattress setups arranged directly on the soft sand. Free from light pollution, gaze at the Milky Way and a sea of stars before falling asleep in complete stillness.

  2. Day 2: Desert dawn & the journey back

    Sunrise over the dunes, breakfast in the open, a short camel ride and the jeep back to Jaisalmer.

    • Golden-hour sunrise. Wake to the gentle early-morning chill as the first light washes over the ripples of the dunes in pure gold.
    • Fresh open-air breakfast. Enjoy a warm, hearty breakfast with hot tea as the desert comes alive.
    • Morning trek & return. Take a short morning camel ride through the tranquil dunes, then your private jeep transfer back to Jaisalmer town.
